Decision Ministries Mission Trips
Jamaica 2007
"Showing the love of God just with a smile is a fulfilling
thing. I received a whole different outlook on life
and who I am in Christ. I will never regret going. I
will always remember the faces of the lives that were
changed." Whitney Flournoy, 17
"I got
way more out of this trip then I ever thought I would.
I've realized that I need to strive to be self-less and
want to share God's love at home. I need to get more
involved at home, not just here in Jamaica. It's
time for me to step it up in youth and out reach
programs." Shannon Woodin, 16
"It
(the trip) changed my view on what life is about.
It's all about getting past myself and giving love with my
whole heart, and my life, just as God has given me love
with His whole heart and life." Liz Munn, 15
"This
trip really encouraged me to push forward and never give
up. It also helped me to realized that everything
doesn't revolve around me. We need to reach out to
the lots. Let everyone realize how much God loves
them and wants to take care of them so they can make the
right choice and spend eternity with Him." Akita
Myers, 15
"This trip has been a
"re-focusing" experience; shifting my attention to what is
of importance. I've taken my eyes off of the unnecessary
and shifted them to God.." Morgan Matlock, 22
"The awesome things about
mission trips is you really never know what to expect and
you always get what you need. Decision Ministries
really knows how to do a mission trip, from the beginner
to the seasoned veteran." Trey West, 25
Camp Decision Peru 2006
Before coming to Camp, I believed that Christians were boring because they didn’t go to parties and stuff like that, but I discovered that they served a God that is not boring, that encouraged me to look for a God that is not boring. I thought that God didn’t want to move in my life but He demonstrated that despite the place, the time, the way He can move everywhere, and wants to surprise us every time. The thing that impacted me the most was that I heard God telling me not to be insecure. Carla Nuñez, 17 - Arequipa, Peru
CD was very important for my life, since sincerely I was not living totally Christian, I was filled with the Holy Spirit and I made the decision to love and respect my parents and separate myself from some people, but the most important thing was at “miracles night” my shoulder was dislocated while I was praising and jumping for God. But the anointing was so strong and I was able to see along with my leaders how my shoulder came to its place. I thanked God, I made the decision to live for Him, preach His Gospel in my college and in Bolivia. Maryam Paredes, 17 - Arequipa, Peru
God gave me the boldness to preach the gospel to my friends, some of them that use to smoke and drink alcohol now are attending my youth cell group were my brother is leader. Diego Rodriguez, 15 - Arequipa, Peru
Camp was great, the best of my life, I made many decisions, but not only made those decisions but practice them in my own life. Now I can say that I know the God I serve, I made the decision to praise Him in all areas of my life public and privately, I know God will fulfill His promises in my life. Carlos E. Vizcarra, 18 - Arequipa, Peru
